Chelsea FC Plans To Sign Nigerian Striker Victor Osimhen

English Premier League giants Chelsea FC are reportedly considering a move to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen before the January transfer window.

According to sources, Chelsea is closely monitoring Osimhen’s performance on loan at Galatasaray, with a break clause in his loan agreement potentially paving the way for a lucrative deal.

Osimhen’s impressive debut for Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig has reignited Chelsea’s interest. The former Lille striker made an immediate impact, providing an assist in a 5-0 thrashing of Rizespor and setting a new league record with seven shots on goal in a single match.

Chelsea’s pursuit of Osimhen dates back to the summer, when negotiations collapsed in the final hours of the transfer window. With Osimhen’s current contract with Napoli including a release clause between €120m and €130m, Chelsea may be able to secure him for a lower valuation, considering his contract expires in 18 months.

As the reigning CAF Player of the Year continues to impress in Turkey, Chelsea faces stiff competition from elite clubs across Europe and the Middle East. Any potential move would require careful negotiation with all parties involved.

For now, Osimhen remains focused on helping Galatasaray defend their Super Lig title. Chelsea’s management will be weighing their options carefully, eager to secure the services of the prolific Nigerian striker.

This development has sparked excitement among football fans, who anticipate a thrilling transfer window. Will Chelsea succeed in signing Osimhen, or will other suitors win the race? Only time will tell.
