President Biden Promises To Secure Victory Despite Debate Criticism

US President Joe Biden has reassured his party’s donors that he remains confident in his ability to secure victory in the upcoming presidential election against Donald Trump in November, despite concerns raised about his debate performance.

During one of the numerous fundraisers he attended in New York and New Jersey on Saturday, Mr. Biden candidly acknowledged, “I didn’t have a great night, but neither did Trump” on Thursday. He affirmed, “I promise you we’re going to win this election.”

Despite the scrutiny surrounding his debate display, the 81-year-old pledged to delve deeper to secure success in November. Despite the criticisms, the Biden campaign maintains that he will not yield his position for another nominee. Campaign chairwoman Jennifer O’Malley Dillon emphasized, “It will not be the first time that exaggerated media narratives have led to temporary declines in the polls.”

Former President Obama also lent his support to his close friend Mr. Biden, remarking, “Bad debate nights happen. This election still presents a choice between someone who has advocated for ordinary individuals throughout his life and someone who prioritizes self-interest.”

Following the debate, a poll conducted by liberal pollster Data for Progress revealed that 62% of likely voters who watched or read about the debate believed Trump emerged victorious, while only 30% believed Mr. Biden won.
