Paul Pogba has refuted allegations suggesting his potential retirement following a four-year ban for doping accusations. Despite being sidelined since August 2023, the 31-year-old has contested the decision and appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in hopes of reducing his suspension to two years. Earlier this year, the French athlete faced sanctions after testing positive for doping twice, initially with the A sample and subsequently with the B sample.

In an interview with Sky Italia, Pogba expressed his determination to challenge what he perceives as an injustice. He emphasized, “Pogba isn’t done; I am still here. Until you hear me declare my retirement, there’s no need to worry. I am eager to return, driven by a strong desire to resume playing professionally. I am training diligently, doing everything possible to make a comeback.”

Furthermore, Pogba clarified, “As of now, I remain a Juventus player with an existing contract. However, I have not had the chance to engage with the club’s management and coach. There seems to be a lack of communication. It appears they are awaiting the appeal verdict, but for further details, direct inquiries should be directed to them.”
