Gov. Sanwo-Olu Signs Landmark MoU With Chinese Construction Company

In a groundbreaking move, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC) to build the Lekki-Epe Link Bridge, a project poised to revolutionize the state’s transportation landscape.

According to a statement by the Governor, “We believe that good roads and transport infrastructure are essential for the growth of Lagos State, and to support this, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CCECC to build the Lekki-Epe Link Bridge in the Lekki-Epe axis of Lagos State.”

This strategic partnership aims to improve the quality of the road network system in Lagos, reducing traffic congestion and creating a seamless commuting experience for citizens.

As Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized, “Our strategic transport masterplan is not just a blueprint; it’s a commitment to improving the lives of all Lagosians.”

The signing of the MoU was witnessed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, underscoring the significance of this collaboration.

Additionally, Governor Sanwo-Olu signed another MoU to implement solar power systems across tertiary institutions in the state, demonstrating his commitment to sustainable energy and economic development.
