In response to the disaster, the Taraba State Government has established a Flood Control Team across all 168 wards of the state to tackle the impending effects of flood.

Governor Agbu Kefas has assured that the team will focus on emergency management and proactive measures to prevent future disasters.

Meanwhile, the Anambra State government has advised residents living in flood-prone areas to evacuate their crops, poultry, fish ponds, and domestic animals to safe places to avoid being caught unawares by flooding.

With the rising water levels of the River Niger and the impending release of water from Lagdo Dam by Cameroon, residents are urged to take proactive measures to protect their lives and livelihoods.
