How Man Killed Wife Over Bread in Lagos

News reports from reliable sources confirm that one Ndubisi Uwadiegwu who hails from Enugu State has beaten his wife, Ogochukwu Enene, to death over a loaf of bread.

It was further related that the accused was trying to bury the wife secretly without informing her people.

Meanwhile, the deceased, who was fondly called Ada Awka, hailed from Umuokpu Village, in Awka, Anambra State but was married to her husband who hails from Enugu State.

According to accounts, the deceased was blessed with five children, four boys and a girl. Also, an online source who raised the alarm on Facebook, reported that the first son of the deceased, aged 14, said their father beat their mother to death with a mirror, because she asked him to buy bread for them but he said he had no money.

The deceased woman’s son added that his mother decided to buy the one loaf of bread for the children with her money. But the father went into the kitchen and ate the whole bread.

And when their mother asked him why he ate the bread, he started beating her, which led to her death. Although, the family members of the deceased are yet to make official statement on the incident, a source close to the family confirmed that the incident took place in Lagos.

Furthermore, the source said the deceased was the Senior Prefect of Amenyi Girls Secondary School in the year 2000.
According to the source, the deceased, ADA Awka, is by name Ogochukwu Anene from Umuokpu Village in Awka. “She was married to one Mr. Ndubisi Uwadiegwu from Enugu State who beat her to death and was planning to bury her without informing her people properly.
“Ogo was blessed with five children, four boys and a girl.

The first son who is 14 years of age said their father used mirror and beat their mum because their mum asked him to buy bread for them and he said he had no money. “So when their mom used her money and got one loaf of bread, the father went to the kitchen and finished the whole bread and when she asked him why he finished the whole bread without keeping any for the children, he started beating her, leading to her death. “Ogochukwu Anene was the Senior Prefect of Amenyi Girls Secondary School, year 2000 set. ”Please Ndi Awka Umunnem Old girls Association of GSSA, Ogochukwu needs justice, the source emphasised.

In the meantime, the man, Ndubisi Uwadiegwu, is said to have been arrested and detained by the police, awaiting due prosecution after the conclusion of detailed investigations by the police in Lagos.
