According to them, they have not enjoyed the dividend of democracy from the Dapo Abiodun led administration since he assumed office in 2019, stressing that their community has been thrown into darkness for a period of four years without any succour coming from the state government.

The indigenes had resigned to their fate until Ladi Adebutu, the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in the state came to their rescue and donated a transformer to the town. The community questioned why their request was granted just a few weeks to election despite being in need of help for four years.

They emphasized that since Adebutu had given them one transformer, the newly brought one by the state government was of no use to them again.
