The cause of the collision is still unknown, with military authorities set to investigate.

This rare accident involving the cutting-edge Rafale jets has raised concerns.

The Rafale has become a bestseller for the French arms industry, with several countries purchasing the aircraft.

Eyewitnesses described a loud, percussive sound at the time of the crash, with a nearby road cordoned off as part of the search operation.
