Yango Fuels Tech Growth and Supports Entrepreneurs at CEO Africa Forum

Yango Makes a Splash with Second Appearance at the Africa CEO Forum, Advancing as the Leading Ride-Service in Africa by Reach.

In its sixth year on the continent, Yango pushes forward with its mission to revolutionize daily tech services with top ride-hailing and delivery solutions.

At the CEO AFRICA Forum held in Kigali on May 16-17, 2024, tech powerhouse Yango underlined its dedication to Africa’s progress. Leaders and thinkers in tech and policy came together to chat about how technology is changing cities across Africa.

Since setting foot in Africa, Yango has soared, now running services in over 13 countries and becoming a go-to for budget-friendly, reliable rides and deliveries.

From its first ride service launched in Ivory Coast in 2018, Yango has spread to include many African nations in its network, with nearly a million drivers and couriers making a living through its platform. In 2023, Yango’s ride count more than doubled from the year before, marking over 250 million trips since its start.

Yango isn’t just about giving rides. It’s about helping local business growth by teaming up with over 1720 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Africa.

“We’re happy and thrilled to join this network again,” Adebayo said. “This forum lets Yango celebrate our wins and discuss what’s next for getting around in Africa. Our increased investment in the continent shows we’re all in for the long haul, fostering sustainable development and showing our commitment to African markets.”

In conclusion, Next to its core ride-hailing service, Yango boasts a wide array of global ventures such as mapping, navigation, tech gadgets, media, cloud storage, fintech, education, along with delivery of goods, food, and e-commerce offerings. With the Yangoapp, the company is expanding to new services, aiming to be the go-to app for Africans everywhere.
