President Tinubu Gives 48- Hours Ultimatum For New Minimum Wage Proposal

In a pivotal move, President Bola Tinubu has mandated Finance Minister Wale Edun to delineate the financial implications of a revised minimum wage within the next two days. The announcement was made by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, following a comprehensive meeting with the negotiation team at Aso Rock today.

Idris revealed that a coordinated effort is underway among all involved parties, including government officials, organized labor, and representatives from the organized private sector, to formulate and present a new, sustainable, and realistic wage structure for Nigerians within a week.

President Tinubu has emphasized the importance of establishing a sustainable wage award that benefits the citizenry, issuing a directive for a swift collaborative effort to achieve this goal.
